About

Ceres Community Project’s unique and holistic approach to community health goes far beyond preparing and delivering delicious and nourishing meals. We are the only medically tailored meal provider in the country with a Youth Development Program at the core of our work, and the only one prioritizing 100% organic food to help advance a healthy and sustainable food system. Through our Affiliate Partner Program and our policy and systems change work, Ceres’ impact extends far beyond Sonoma and Marin counties.

The clients we serve are most often living with multiple health conditions, on less than $25,000 a year, and frequently alone without a caregiver. Nearly half of our clients are from marginalized communities and more than 25% are Spanish speakers.

What is a Medically Tailored Meal?

Medically tailored meals are designed to meet the nutritional needs of our clients’ illnesses and side effects. A growing body of research shows that medically tailored meals improve our clients’ quality of life and health outcomes while reducing the overall cost of health care. As a result, there is growing momentum to make medically tailored meals a covered health care benefit.
